Ergo Proxy
by Bakachan
Amy Lee of Evanescence has her own anime! Kidding! Aside from a passing resemblance to the goth singer, Real Mayor is a sheltered detective whose life is turned upside-down in this dystopic, futuristic mystery. Romdeau is the perfect city of the future, ruled by Real’s grandfather and a council of androids, a mix of science and sociology where its human citizens coexist with androids called “autoraves” and immigrants are fifth-class citizens (okay, some things never change). One of those immigrants, Vincent Law, is part of Autorave Control, a job that entails him checking robots for a Cogito Virus, which makes them crazy, but ends up getting chased by a monster. That same monster later breaks into Real’s apartment, only to be joined by another monster… Real’s scientist friend Daedelus, Raul, and Real’s grandfather are all connected to Proxy, the monster. But what the heck is Proxy?
