"Library Wars"
Review by Saikano
Libraries are all about books, old ladies telling you "shhhh", computers, guns, boot camp – Wait, guns? Boot camp??? Well, yeah, (adopts the late Don LaFontaine's movie trailer voice) "In a world… where the armed anti-media group called, ironically, the Media Enhancement Committee rules, it's only the Elite Task Force, a section of the militarized library system formed to protect books and readers, that stands against them!" In other words, it's kinda like "Fahrenheit 451" taken to a whole new level in this alternate world of Japan, and where the reckless and passionate Iku Kasahara, a star athlete in school, is learning the rules and kicking ass as a librarian!
Tale of Genji

This tale follows the Emperor's second son, who was born from one of the Emperor's courtiers. This story follows his life and loves, and showing his childish nature at times. This story however, drags on and on with no real meat to the story and sorry to say, every time I have watched this show, I have fallen asleep somewhere in the 110 minutes of it. So, if you need to fall asleep, this is the show to watch! (This is much better than sominex...)
Tenpo Ibun Ayakashi Akashi
review by Zachary Tom
In the year of Tempo 14, Youi (You = monster, i = foreign) or monsters from another world attack Edo. Those who fight against them are members of Bansha Aratemesho. In public, Bansha Aratemesho is known as an organization to study foreign books. They are ordered to beat Youi. In fact, they are called Ayakashi. They gather information on strange events through out the country, and then are dispatched there to beat Youi. They are unique people, for example, a guy who lost his memory, a girl who dresses like a man. However, they each have special powers to fight Youi.
